Celebrate India

This fantastic event features some of the brightest stars and pioneers of Indian music.

Milapfest present their annual showcase of Indian orchestral and choral music, featuring two landmark ensembles, who together create a rare and special musical phenomenon full of bright young stars of Indian Music. This year's highlights are Samyo, the National Youth Orchestra for Indian Music & Sabrang, the National Choir for Indian Music, with special guest artists Abhijit Pohankar and the Sargam Choir.

Celebrate India! is a concert that marks the 2017 UK-India Year of Culture, and the musical direction features compositions which are nostalgic, emotional and uplifting. Featuring bright percussion, beautiful melodies and soulful singing Samyo and Sabrang take inspiration from the rich depth and variety of Indian musical culture, for this landmark event in England’s cultural calendar.

Celebrate India takes please on 12 April at The Beck Theatre. Tickets are £10 with £8 concessions. For more information, visit their website.
