The Savoy’s American Bar

The Savoy's American Bar is delighted to have been crowned best bar in Europe and the second best bar in the world at number 2.

12 October 2016 - 30 November 2017

The American Bar at the Savoy has made The World’s 50 Best Bars list for the sixth time in a row, having been included every single year following its grand reopening in 2010.

The American Bar may be the longest-surviving cocktail bar in the UK, and one of the most iconic in the world,  but its continuous reinvention shows that the bar is still very much at the forefront of the beverage industry. In January this year The American Bar launched The London Menu - a brand new cocktail menu that combines theatre and storytelling, as it takes guests on a journey around six of the London boroughs that surround The Savoy.

Taking in some of London’s most fascinating places from iconic landmarks to hidden corners, each cocktail on the menu has its own story to tell. Driven by American Bar manager Declan McGurk, the new menu was meticulously crafted and perfected over many months by head bartender Erik Lorincz and his creatively driven and talented team. The final result is a truly unique menu that brings the city to life through flavours, textures, tastes and stories.

The American bar at the Savoy Hotel is located on theStrand, London WC2R 0EU. Open Mon-Sat 11:30am to 12:00am and Sun 12pm to 12am.
