With any of the money left over from payday there's a whole host of exciting events happening this week. Educate yourself at Women of the World, dance your cares away to Jungle or splash your cash at the Desire Fair.

Women of the World
What to expect:
Celebrating the fabulous female

WOW – Women of the World – is the Southbank Centre’s annual festival celebrating all things female. With exhibitions, arts performances and talks this promises to be both visually and intellectually stimulating. The pinnacle of the events will be on March 8 in conjunction with International Women’s Day. Highlights include Claude Cahun’s photographs exploring notions of sexuality, gender beauty and logic and a discussion panel entitled ‘Who Owns Your Body?’.

Desire Fair
What to expect:
A chance to find a diamond in the rough

If you want to hunt out a unique piece of jewellery for a loved one, or treat yourself now that pay day has come this is where to go! Chelsea Old Town Hall is hosting the Desire Fair where you can wander around mixed media jewellery and silversmithing stands and chat with contemporary designers. 90 craftsmen and women will be there working in gold, silver, copper and other metals as well as incorporating gemstones, seaglass and beads into their work.

Keston Cobblers Club
What to expect:
Underground groves

Yet more subterranean madness from the fringe festival underneath Waterloo Station, Vault Festival. For an edgy Friday night music experience you can have a beer and relax listening to the Keston Cobblers Club’s joyous live music. The band are known for their cute attention to detail with a CD that folds up into a train set and a ‘Cobblers Passport’ which can get stamped at each of their gigs.

Little Nan’s Right Royal House Party
What to expect:
Cocktails in teapots in Greenwich

At a secret location in Greenwich there will be an awfully civilised party where cocktails will be served in teacups and crystal cut decanters. Once booked the address will be sent to you on the day to ensure maximum hype around the event. From the same grandchildren who gave London Little Nan’s bar, this new venture into a Georgian town house promises to be a giggle!

Jungle
What to expect:
The Mercury prize nominees and not a trip to the Amazon

Home-grown London talent, Jungle, became one of 2014’s biggest new sensations gracing the legendary John Peel stage at Glastonbury. And now the hip funk duo have come home to London to play at the Barbican! Promising to be huge homecoming concert this is going to be a triumphant return for the disco pair.
