London Zoo is an oasis in the heart of the capital. Set in leafy Regent's Park amid heritage-listed buildings and beautiful gardens, it is the oldest scientific zoo in the world, opening in 1828. With over 720 amazing species to discover, many endangered, as well as live shows, the zoo is actively involved in creating interactive, immersive and inspiring exhibitions. There are plenty of cafés and picnic spots, and the zoo offers educational and craft activities for all the family. Just one of the highlights is a walk-through aviary making it possible to see exotic birds close up in their natural environment.
